At 4PM, Black Mountain Symphony takes the stage to close out the festival with a powerful and unforgettable set. Hailing from the hill country near Albany, this dynamic six-piece band delivers a genre-blending mix of progressive folk, weaving together elements of classical, rock, and more. Known for their passionate songwriting and high-energy performances, they promise a grand finale that’s as bold as it is moving.
Preceding them, Northern Borne will be kicking off the festivities from 10AM to 1PM, to then be followed by the Hilltown Ramblers from 1PM to 4PM.

Known for their rich harmonies and toe-tapping rhythms, this talented group offers a vibrant mix of traditional classics and modern bluegrass favorites. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the genre or simply love live acoustic music, their performance promises something for everyone, the Hilltown Ramblers will keep the crowd entertained and engaged until their set wraps up at 4 PM.

From 10 AM to 4 PM, don’t miss the Quilt Show, displayed across the museum complex, and browse the work of talented craft vendors set up in the field near the historic Dutch Barn.

We end our 2024 season with a bang – come help us raise a model barn to learn how post & beam buildings like Old Fort Johnson are built. Barn raisings begin at 11:30 and 2:30. We’ll also be making fresh apple cider and baking goodies in the outdoor bake oven all day long. Admission is by donation – all the money raised today will go towards our match for a grant to replace our roof next year.
I LOVE NY started the “New York Fall Foliage Report (opens in a new tab) ” on September 11 and will continue until the end of the foliage season, around the first or second week in November. Montgomery County has started its own annual report this year as well.

Saturday features A Taste of History, the Garden Bug Fall Festival, Family Fun Day, the Friends of Sanford Stud Farm Open House and so much more (opens in a new tab) .
The annual Garden Bug Fall Festival (opens in a new tab) will have a variety of agricultural products and fall decor available for purchase: mums, pumpkins, indian corn, bows, hay bales, corn stalks, and more. Vendors and crafters will be on hand both Saturday and Sunday. Music, bounce house, cider donuts, wagon rides, car cruise-in (Saturday only beginning at noon), food and gifts are all available.
