The Montgomery County Tourism department is participating in a strategic planning process for 2016 to study tourism in the county. A strategic planning committee comprised of tourism professionals, tourism properties, and County Legislators has begun meeting to discuss this critical plan, and is seeking input from the community via a survey for the process.
At the committee’s initial meeting the group participated in a SWOT Analysis to assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats specific to tourism in Montgomery County. “Before this analysis is complete, the committee is asking for the help from the stakeholders of Montgomery County. We are asking tourism properties, the business community, and the residents of Montgomery County to participate in a short survey and give your input on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to Montgomery County Tourism,” stated Montgomery County Tourism Director, Gina DaBiere-Gibbs.
