Montgomery County Kayak-a-thon

The Kayak-a-thon is the perfect way for paddlers to close out the summer. Upward of 50 kayakers and canoers enjoy this day-long event that takes them on a journey along the Mohawk River.
Burbine Disc Golf Tournament
October 25
The disc golf course at Burbine Forest in Sprakers is a popular playground for players of all skill levels, yet it’s challenging enough to host the Blues at Burbine and Stockyard Open tournaments each year. These Professional Disc Golf Association-sanctioned events are a testament to the quality of the course.
Winding through a mature hardwood forest and including a water feature, the 18-hole course is available to play most of the year. The two-mile loop also makes it a great hiking spot.
Riverlink Park Events
The hub for civic celebrations is beautiful Riverlink Park in the city of Amsterdam. The Summer Concert Series highlights the lineup of events at this scenic waterfront spot. The park is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, who can also discover history and art along the Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook pedestrian bridge that spans the mighty Mohawk River.
