The popular geocaching phenomenon has a strong following in Montgomery County because of its wealth of state parks and forests, tourist sites and historic landmarks. Geocachers are treasure hunters who follow clues, hints and GPS coordinates left on a geocaching website to locate boxes of trinkets and goodies left behind by other game players. The rules say if you take something, you have to leave something for the next player.
