Dig with the Dirty Diamond Diggers
We offer a highly productive and enjoyable mining experience for individual prospectors and groups. Come enjoy the beautiful countryside of upstate New York and dig for Herkimer diamonds in our private mine. We guarantee that you will leave with a Herkimer diamond.
Different supervised mining packages are available for adults and children and are subject to our On-Site Policies (see below).
Supervised Mining Prices
Adults, $250/person: 4-hour dig, you keep everything you find
Children, $50/person: 4-hour dig in a safe area adjacent to the mine, in specially-prepared pocket/filler dirt.

Dirty Diamond Diggers On-Site Policies
– Mining fees are due before mining activity commences. Payment can be made in cash, with PayPal, or with Venmo
– For purposes of pricing/dig safety, anyone 18 years of age or older is considered an “adult.” Anyone 17 or younger is considered a “child”
– All children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
– Anyone in the mining area must wear closed-toe safety footwear (shoes or boots), a hard hat, and safety glasses
– Visitors who plan to dig are strongly encouraged to bring their own mining equipment
– All visitors must sign a liability waiver before entering the mine area/children’s dig site. All children must have a liability waiver signed on their behalf by a parent or legal guardian
– All mining activities must be fully supervised, conducted in the presence of Dirty Diamond Diggers staff. All visitors must follow instructions provided by Dirty Diamond Diggers staff
– Consumption of alcohol and the use of illicit drugs are strictly prohibited on site
