Punched Tin Lantern

In this two-day workshop students will learn how to construct an iconic pierced tin barn lantern using traditional tools and techniques. Processes taught will include cutting, folding, rolling, soldering and wiring of tin plated sheet iron as well as the laying out and punching of the perforated designs that make these lanterns both durable and fascinating. Some metalworking experience helpful but not necessary.
