On Aug 23rd (Rain Date the 24th) the Veterans Park Swimming pool in Amsterdam is literally going to the Dogs! It is the annual fundraiser for the Montgomery County SPCA pooch plunge. For a donation of $20.00 you get to bring your dog for a refreshing dip to beat the heat, or just a light cool off in a sprinkler.
Want to just watch all the fun and mayhem? Bring a chair or a blanket and get a “Cats-eye seat” for just a $5 spectator donation. Of course, you might want to partake of the delicious concessions from Monty’s!
