Join us in the Great Hall of the Arkell Museum & Canajoharie Library for an afternoon with Master Storyteller & Cultural Educator Perry Ground!

These programs are FREE and open to the public.

Haudenosaunee Women – From SkyWoman to Influence on American Suffrage
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm
Presentation best for 7th grade – adults.
This presentation discusses the role that women play in Haudenosaunee communities throughout history. Beginning with the Creation Story and SkyWoman, the talk will highlight the important responsibilities women have with the culture, government, and communities of the Haudenosaunee and how these freedoms and responsibilities impacted the American women and suffrage.

Native American Solar Eclipse Stories
2:30pm – 4:00 pm
Appealing to all ages!
This Storytelling presentation celebrates the Solar Eclipse of April 8th with stories and legends from Native American tribes.
