The Montgomery County Soil & Water Conservation District (MCSWCD) is excited to announce a series of free fall workshops and a guided forest walk open to the public this November! These programs are designed to help residents, farmers, and families learn hands-on ways to care for our soil, water, and natural resources.

Learn how to turn food scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich compost for your garden. Free to attend—registration required.
Explore Burbine Forest: Guided Tree & Wildlife Walk

Join MCSWCD and NYS DEC staff for a guided walk through Burbine Forest. Discover local trees, wildlife, and conservation practices that protect our natural spaces. Limited to 25 participants.
Excel 101 for Farmers

A beginner-friendly workshop for farmers looking to get organized with recordkeeping, budgets, or crop planning using Microsoft Excel. Bring your laptop if you can!
