Join us for this presentation, “Low Bridge: The Erie Canal in Saratoga County,” given by John Scherer, Clifton Park Town Historian and Senior Historian Emeritus at the New York State Museum. Journey along the Erie Canal from Cohoes to Schenectady and witness historical and contemporary views of the canal and sites as well as canal life and “characters” along the way. Explore the Erie Canal remains of Clute’s Dry Dock, Lock 19 and the Crescent and Rexford Aqueducts.
The program will take place inside the Enders House, adjacent to the Visitor Center on Schoharie Street in Fort Hunter. It will be preceded by a short Friends of Schoharie Crossing meeting. Refreshments will be available. Free and open to the public.
