Homebrewed Comedy at Erie Canal Distillers

The laughter is coming to Fort Plain when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at Erie Canal Distillers on Thursday, June 13. Andy McDermott is headlining the show and Will Phillips is joining host Mike Peters.
The show starts at 7 p.m. and seating begins at 6. Tickets are $10 and available online and at the door. Seating is limited, so it’s best to buy your tickets early.

Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.

A talented comedian, writer and author, Will Phillips is a Utica favorite. He’s the head of content development for Stage Time Trivia, which serves several restaurants around the Central New York area, and co-created the popular KoldCast web series, Murder Squad, D.B.A. Before his stand-up career began, Phillips spent two years working with Family Guy and wrote Hollywood Failure, which was published in 2014.
Andy McDermott is a dynamic performer, storyteller and joke writer. He’s performed at the Woodstock Comedy Festival, O+ Festival and on WPDH’s Boris and Robin Show. Eddie Brill described him as “… So smart, so funny. I think the world of him as a comic.” His hit stand-up and variety shows produced by his production company, More Than Jokes, have been in venues throughout the Northeast. McDermott has been featured at comedy clubs all over New York, including Laugh It Up!, Rhino Comedy, Levity Live, the Funny Bone, Yonkers Comedy Club, the Comedy Works and Stand Up NY. He’s opened for Kyle Kinane, Big Jay Oakerson, Eddie Brill, Paul Virzi, Kevin Farley and more.
