Explore the Sky with SUNY Oneonta Astronomy
March 6 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join SUNY Oneonta students and faculty for an evening of stargazing! We’ll take a look at the moon, Jupiter and Mars through small telescopes, and explore deep sky objects like the Orion Nebula, Pleiades star cluster, and more! Kids can take home a paper star wheel to learn what constellations are visible throughout the different seasons. If weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll do an indoor lesson on what to look for in the night sky, and discuss the upcoming lunar eclipse on March 14th.
