DESCRIPTION:Its that time of year! Start thinking about your best Chili Recipes and if you got what it takes to be the winning Chili Cook for 2026! This is our annual event at the Firehouse. Open to all ages of chefs. $5.00 to enter a Chili\, $5.00 to come and taste the chili’s and vote on your pick for this years winner. All entry fee’s go to the winner\, and the tasting fee’s benefit the Fire Department. We will have a 50/50 raffle thru out the day as well.Chili entries need to be to the FH by 1:30 PM the day of\, and tasting will start at 2PM\, we will count the votes and announce the winners at 5PM.Make the plan now\, come bring your Chili\, come taste amazing chili’s from others. Its a great afternoon at the FH and a great time to socialize with FD members and community members at the same time. Water and crackers will be provided\, as well as tasting containers and spoons. Your welcome to bring anything to go with your chili. Each chili gets assigned a number\, when tasting begins\, the tasters will help themselves to each crock pot and then vote. SUMMARY:Calvary Soup Sampler and Bake Sale
DESCRIPTION:Annual homemade soup sampler and bake sale held at the Calvary Reformed Church of Hagaman\, the village’s first church. Built in 1835 as the Presbyterian North Church\, it became a Dutch Reformed Church in 1855. One of the oldest churches in Montgomery County. Members of the church’s parish and the community put on their aprons and cook up some of the finest soups and baked goods around. All the soup you can eat. Tickets sold at the door. Cost is $8. for adults. Children under 12 are free.
