DESCRIPTION:This one day workshop/ demonstration is designed to help Living History and Museum blacksmiths\, in the understanding of early period methods of both problem solving and recreating historical ironwork. Participants will spend the morning studying and drawing some of the ironwork from the Kilts Farm collection. The afternoon will consist of demonstrating various methods of forging and finishing examples of period pieces in the blacksmith shop.\n\n\n‍ \nParticipants should bring: \n\nA sketch pad\nMechanical pencil\nRuler\n\n‍ \nLunch will be provided as part of the workshop.

Martin; and Roland Carter’s arrangement of the civil rights anthem “Lift Every Voice and Sing” (words by James Weldon Johnson; music by J.
